W3C has announced a First Public Working Draft for SHACL 1.2 Inference Rules, covering inference-related support in SHACL.

W3C said its Data Shapes Working Group published a First Public Working Draft of SHACL 1.2 Inference Rules on 17 September 2026.

According to W3C, the draft addresses support in the SHACL Shapes Constraint Language for deriving new triples from triples already in a data graph. It is a working draft, not an approved W3C standard. W3C said feedback is welcome through GitHub.
